24-10-2023 Bhutan Queen Jetsun Pema and His Royal Highness Gyalsey Ugyen Wangchuck visited the Hindu temple in Thimphu to take part in a celebration of the Hindu festival of Dassain.
Dassain is celebrated in Bhutan by families with elders placing a “tika” of rice on the forehead of their children, meant to signify blessings.
